NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY
TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST.
VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

By entering this Promotion you are giving the Sponsor the right to communicate with you by e-mail. In subsequent e-mails you receive from the Sponsor as a result of entering this Promotion, you will have the option to elect not to receive further communication.

(1) Description of Sweepstakes – Coinstar Inc., (the “Sponsor”) is offering “The Coinstar Jackpot” (the “Promotion”) and will award prizes based on the accuracy of guesses submitted by participants to the Promotion. The Promotion begins at 1:00 PM Pacific Time (“PT”) on October 22, 2009 and ends at 5:00:00 PM PT on January 11, 2010, (“Promotion Period”). Within the Promotion Period there are twelve (12) weekly contests (“Weekly Contests”), conducted according to the following schedule:

The Promotion is intended for participation only in the United States and shall be construed according to, and governed exclusively by United States law. By participating in the Promotion, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. By participating in the Promotion, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Promotion Entities (defined in Paragraph 2, below), their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, retailers, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any and all damages whether direct or indirect, which may be due to or arise out of participation in the Promotion or any portion thereof, or the acceptance, use/misuse or possession of prizes.

(2) Eligibility – Promotion is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older as of October 15, 2009. Employees, officers and directors of Coinstar Inc., its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies (collectively “Promotion Entities”), their immediate families (parent, child, sibling & spouse) and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

(3) How to Enter – Each week during the Promotion Period, a new photograph of a “Money Maker” for that week’s Contest is posted at www.coinstarjackpot.com and entrants can guess the amount of money in the features “Money Maker”. The “Money Maker” is an actual jar or receptacle containing a pre-determined dollar and cents amount in US coins. Complete the registration form at www.coinstarjackpot.com with your first/last name, e-mail address, street address, city, state, and zip code. Submit your registration, review the photograph of that week’s “Money Maker” to formulate your guess as to the actual amount in dollars and cents (example, $98.67) contained in the “Money Maker” and then enter your guess when prompted. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person each day of the Weekly Submission Periods. A day is defined as any twenty-four (24) hour period during the Weekly Submission Periods beginning at 12:01:01 AM and ending at 11:59:59 PM. If an earlier entrant has submitted the exact amount of your guess, you will be prompted to enter a new guess; i.e. all entrants must submit unique guesses. If you are a member of Facebook® and a fan of Coinstar on Facebook, log in to your Facebook account www.facebook/coinstar.com, click through to access the coinstarjackpot.com site and submit your guess as to the exact amount in dollars and cents in the “Money Maker”.

Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address at time of entry, regardless of the person submitting the entry. A potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with satisfactory proof that he/she is the authorized e-mail account holder associated with the potentially winning entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provide or other organization. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple, different or duplicitous e-mail addresses, the use of multiple identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, contain irregular or invalid information, or are corrupted are void and will not be accepted. By entering the Promotion, you agree to all of the terms and conditions of Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.coinstar.com/us/LUTerms/Public

(4) Determination of Actual Coin Amounts - On each Tuesday of the Promotion Period, the preceding week’s “Money Maker” is taken to an actual Coinstar machine in a retail location where the change in the “Money Maker” is counted. This amount of the change in the “Money Maker” as determined by the outcome of counting via the Coinstar machine will be posted at www.coinstarjackpot.com. The entrant who submitted the exact correct amount in dollars and cents will be named the winner for that Weekly Contest. If the exact correct amount was not submitted as an entry, the entrant who submitted the guess next closest to the exact correct amount, (but did not exceed the exact correct amount) will be named the winner for that Weekly Contest.

(5) Prizes – For each of the twelve (12) Weekly Contests, one (1) prize will be awarded in the form of a gift card or a cash payment by check in the amount of the money in that Week’s Money Maker, as determined by the outcome of counting via the Coinstar machine before the 8.9% Coinstar processing fee is deducted. Verified winners have their choice of a cash payment by check for the exact winning amount or a gift card issued for the winning amount rounded up to the next “even” $10 increment (example: exact winning amount is $118.23; gift card is issued for $120). Gift cards will be issued from winner’s choice of one of the following providers:

JCPenney, Lowe’s, Amazon.com, Starbucks Coffee, iTunes, Cabela’s, Rixty, Regal Entertainment Group, Old Navy, Borders, Eddie Bauer, Overstock.com, CVS/Pharmacy. There are a total of twelve (12) prizes and the total combined value of all prizes in the Promotion does not exceed $2,500. Odds of winning depend upon the entrants’ ability to submit the exact correct amount or the closest amount to the exact correct amount, which does not exceed the exact correct amount.

(6) Prize Awarding – Potential winners will be contacted on the each Tuesday of the Promotion Period via the e-mail address associated with their Promotion registration or their Facebook account, (“Prize Notification”). Potential winners have seven (7) day’s from Sponsor’s first Prize Notification to respond via reply e-mail with their complete name, mailing address and their selection of a gift card or the check option for the fulfillment of their prize. Non-compliance with any of these requirements will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize. Return of Prize Notification will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize. Any unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Prize recipients shall not be permitted to transfer or assign his/her designated prize to another person. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner's name and profile picture (if made available via Facebook) solely for advertising and promotional purposes as Sponsor so determines without notice or further compensation, except where prohibited by law. All federal, state, local, and other taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner.

(7) General - All decisions of the Sponsor and Promotion Entities in any matter relating to this Promotion shall be binding and final. Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware, software, or web site. Sponsor and Promotion Entities are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, late, lost, mis-directed or postage due mail, for incorrect, inaccurate or illegible entry information, howsoever caused, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Entrants found tampering with or abusing any, aspect of this Promotion, as solely determined by the judges, will be disqualified. If disqualified for any of the above abuses, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate entrant's eligibility to participate in the Promotion. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be in violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion if any fraud, virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Promotion, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment.

(8) Disputes -This Promotion is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Washington, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Promotion, participants agree that any and all disputes with Sponsor which cannot be resolved and causes of action against Sponsor arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Washington, having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, including attorneys' fees, other than participant's actual out-of-pocket expenses (e.g. costs associated with entering), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

(9) Winners List - To receive the names of winners in the Promotion, send a self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt by January 12, 2010 to: Coinstar Jackpot Winners, PO Box 12055, Scottsdale, AZ 85267-2055.
